It should works, because it works for others. If HW connection is ok, then you have problem in OS. New RPI2 has different address range for BCM chip. New address should be in /proc/device-tree/soc/ranges. See this thread for details:

Sorry my bad. It is working now. I was using wget and didn't paid attention to downloaded file. I haven't overwrote it, wget made a copy of the same file. So i can confirm, adding a node works ok.
