ESP8266 Arduino IDE is OUT !!!

I brought some ESP's from the EasyIOT store which I'm waiting for delivery from China, in the meantime a friend of mine has received his delivery of ESP-07 and has lent me one as a sample until my delivery arrives, so I thought over the weekend I would try the Arduino IDE, programming utility only to find I get errors trying to upload the sketch to the ESP
Sketch uses 196,196 bytes (37%) of program storage space. Maximum is 524,288 bytes.
Uploading 35920 bytes from /var/folders/x5/6zgc42x17w9_qnl9g4m9bf_h0000gn/T/build7853201441431468249.tmp/WiFiWebServer2.cpp_00000.bin to flash at 0x00000000
warning: espcomm cmd: didn't receive command response
warning: espcomm_send_command(FLASH_DOWNLOAD_BEGIN) failed

Has anybody else had this problem or am I doing something wrong? I've tried this on Mac and PC which gives me the same results.
Thanks Andy.

If wiring is OK then maybe your FDT cannot supply enough current. In this case add separated power supply for ESP8266.

Thank you EasyIoT, I am using a separate power supply and wiring is OK I have managed to get it working on a Windows 8.1 machine which I can use for the moment but it's not mine, not sure what the problem is the Windows version worked straight away. Could really do with the Mac Version if anyone's got any ideas,
Thanks Andy.
