If you like you can switch to other libraries, and change some lines of the original code, as I did.
You can include fonts also.
That's the easiest way to go.

I'm new to this Thermostat project but have looked at all the files, articles (here and instuctables ) and don't see a wiring diagram or schematic any where. Can some one point me to it?
I also don't see where the connections to the the HV/AC unit happen. Is this designed for 4 wire, 5 wire, or 6? I need to know if it's compatible with my HV/AC system before I invest a lot of time in trying to make this work.

This thermostat is for heating only. But I guess you can add more relays to control ventilating, and air conditioning.
