Graphics and icons

The graphic interface would be much more attractive if we can put as wallpaper a floor plan of the home and put inside icons representing nodes. When you click on its a sub-menu appear showing values readings and actions that can be done.

Of course icons could be coustomizable ones.

I agree totally.

I have seen freedomotica and major domo and they both look impressive, something like that would be good! Including the surrounding space around a property would be good for intrusion detection as well as just indoor layouts.

But can I ask that one thing be taken into account from the start if it ever happens, that sensors should be selectable as visible or invisible in the non active state and the same in the active state.

This means that I can show people the page and they can see the temp, humidity, lighting etc but not any security sensors. Then, when triggered security sensors suddenly appear (or not depending on the settings) on the screen.

Sounds would be nice too... and voice control... and spoken notifications.....but these are all not simple matter to implement.

It won't happen overnight, but a good interface is important to all users.
