Android app deveopment

Hello everyone, I have an ESP8266 for connecting my own board to the internet. I'd like to ask if its possible to create my own Android app in Android Studio that can get data ,control the device pins though the EasyIoT server? If yes, are there any links to tutorials on that? I'm planning to create the App widget to show these data, and a normal app to control the device.
Lastly, can EasyIoT push notifications to my Android device when there is a need in immediate attention such as the temperature being above desired values? If no, is there any ways to achieve this? Links appreciated
