How to connect to the esp8266?

Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased an ESP8266 and followed this link to configure it as a WiFi door/window sensor using EasyIoT Cloud REST API V1.0.

But what next?

• How do I connect to the device over Wifi?
  
• How can I connect the device to my home Wifi?
  
• When will it create the modules in my cloud console? or do I need to create these myself?

FYI it works now.

Two issues, the AP Username was misleading - it required the SSID.
Secondly the SSID needs to be case sensitive.
